Having lived on the Gulf of Mexico as a child, Dakota Griffin understands the lasting impact of Hurricane Katrina. For her capstone, Dakota combined her love of art with her connection to her former community. After interviewing residents, she captured their stories of tragedy and loss in a series of original paintings and drawings.
